The experience that I had in Pulau Ketam under the TFM Week programme was indeed an eye opener. This trip had taught me to appreciate what I had as a child and in my youth, actually.. even now. Living a rather simplistic life, residents of Pulau Ketam lack the access that I had to learning, socialising and the variety in extracurricular activities. They do not have the opportunity to experience a better quality of life. What they do from day-to-day could be perceived as quite stagnant in a way. I wish to come back with fun and educational activities along with my friends to help build a relationship, their interest and dreams. But I'm glad that I made this decision (thanks to @dzameer ) to see what it's all about and how crucial this start could change the kids' belief, build their courage and receive empowerment.
